Online games impact on youngsters Recent years, many youngsters including lots of college students are addicted to computer games. They ignore that their main task is studying. Some youngsters even play computer games day and night. They don’t have any other hobbies except computer games. Their GPA is so low that they are facing the danger of expelled from school.
For the students themselves who play online games all the day, they feel it
excited when playing games. The world of the computer games is so beautiful and colorful that they even can’t distinguish what is the virtual world and what is the real world. Games seemed like everything of their life. They can give up studying, give up having a meal, give up sleeping, give up making friends with others, give up staying with family, but what they cant give up is playing games.
However, their teachers and parents are worried about this. Teachers dont want to see the scene that their students are thinking about how to play games in the class. Usually, just a part of students come to class, the other are playing games instead of having classes. Parents told their children that they shall study hard at school when their children leave home. But what upsets the parents is that the children are just playing online games at school.
Online game sometimes can alleviate fatigue, but youngsters can’t be
addicted to it which will damage their study and their health, even their future. So for a youngster, you must get the balance between online games and your study, your health, your family, your future!

一、社团宗旨 The aim of the English public speaking debate League
英语演讲与辩论社团的宗旨是：Through debate and public speaking the oral English and logical way of thinking of the students’ will be improved; the horizon will be broadened; the spirit will be enlightened. 3、三分钟演讲 (three minutes presentation)：
英语演讲是英语语言的组织能力的综合运用。演讲与辩论社团指导学生如何进行英语演讲与辩论，每次课前进行“三分钟演讲”，给学生提供感兴趣的话题，使学生掌握演讲技巧，并积累大量词汇。同时，鼓励学生参加中学生英语演讲比赛，在比赛中得到锻炼和提高。Making English speech is the employ of the art of speaking in English. The members will learn how to deliver an English speech and to debate in English under the instruction of the League. The students will be provided with interest-arousing topics in their three minutes’ presentations at the beginning of the class everyday so that their strategy of making a speech will be perfected and their vocabulary will snowball as well.
4、辩论赛：English debate contest
通过教师的辩论指导，观看辩论比赛录像，培养成员的英语辩论水平和团体合作能力，同时组织一定的辩论赛使学生掌握英语辩论技能。With the
instructions of teachers and the watch of the debate contest videos, the members’ debate know-how and group work spirit will be cultivated.

活动内容丰富多彩，如：组织社员观看英文电影，小组讨论，阅读英文版经典名著，英语猜词，接龙等小游戏，还可邀请外教参与口语交流等，目的是让社员们在活动中愉快地学英语，自信地讲英语。In order to let students get a good sense of English and speak it confidently. A variety of rich and colorful activities will be going on out there, Such as, watching English films, group discussion, reading classical works of English version, tricks of English word puzzle design and building up sequence, oral English practice with the participation of the native trainer and so on.

由社员集体自行搜集资料（符合本社团宗旨），汇编成册，定期选择社员自己的优秀演讲稿、小，散文等各式文体的稿件编入社刊（可设编辑若干名，文笔最好者可任主编）。The materials which meet the aim of the league will be collected and selected by the members themselves, and then the
materials will be compiled in form of volumes; all sorts of materials in different writing styles from members will be adopted, such as, speech description, poet, and prose and so on. Several editors will be chosen here and the most brilliant one will be chosen as the chief editor.
六、入社条件 qualities for membership
